Contributing

If you'd like to contribute data, information, images, or anything else, visit the development site on GitLab and submit an issue (you will need a GitLab account in order to do this), or drop me an email at ikiw.ccus@retsambew. I can also be contacted via Twitter (@succ_wiki).

Please note that all approved contributions made to the project must be your own work and must be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence. The creators of the collective work can be attributed as "succ.wiki contributors".

A Coverage page is provided in order to make it easy to see at a glance which plants are missing which data. It also shows statistics for data coverage.

Donations

As the site is hosted by GitLab pages, with SSL certificates provided by Let's Encrypt, it costs very little money to run. Therefore, we are not accepting donations. Please consider instead a donation to the Free Software Foundation, Creative Commons, IUCN Red List, or any of the projects attributed below.

Licensing

The code used to generate HTML, and the HTML code itself, are not currently open. This is a temporary measure whilst licensing issues are worked out, and the project will be made free software at a later date. For the time being, it remains the sole copyright of Jonathan Mason. You are not permitted to redistribute it.

Copyright law does not cover facts/factual data. Therefore, you are permitted to reuse or modify any and all data on the site (including JSON data files in /data), in part or in full, without the need to comply with any licence or provide any attribution. However, attribution to "succ.wiki contributors" and/or a link to the website is appreciated (although not in any way required).
